Changelog
What's new
ForeverArtisan 0.9.17 Live now October 8
- Controller fishing without the Gamepad UI: with Options > Gamepad (Alpha) > Enable Gamepad UI off, a controller has nothing to aim with, so when your bobber lands out of reach the fishing button now casts again, and the note says "Bobber out of reach: press A to cast again". With the Gamepad UI on, the button stays as it is so the white dot works, and the note says "put the white dot on it, or recast". Keyboard and mouse fishing doesn't change
- Tested with Xbox-style (GameSir) and PlayStation 5 controllers
- No new files:
/reloadis enough after updating

Earlier builds
October 2026 10 builds
ForeverArtisan 0.9.16 October 7
- Best crafts: a new tab in every crafting window ranks the recipes you know by most profit (after the Auction House cut), cheapest to level (cheapest per skill point first; some even earn money while you level), or profit + skill-ups. A dot on each row shows how much to trust the price: green steady, yellow check it, gray shaky. "Hide shaky prices" hides the gray ones. Click a row to open the recipe; at the Auction House it puts the name in the search box. It never searches, buys or posts. Works best with Auctionator, since one full scan prices the whole Auction House
- Where to sell: when a goblin Auction House (Booty Bay, Gadgetzan, Everlook) pays clearly more, the Best crafts row shows a gold "better at goblin AH: +17s". Hover any recipe to compare both houses after their cuts (5% and 15%) and the 30c postage to a banker there. It only recommends a house when it pays at least 25% and 50c more a craft, from a steady price no older than 3 days. Goblin prices are kept separate, so a Booty Bay scan no longer changes your faction's prices
- Controller support for fishing: the Fishing, Reel-in and Swap key boxes take controller buttons, with Shift / Ctrl / Alt buttons (LT, LB) as modifiers. Uses the game's own soft targeting, so the same button reels in when your bobber is in reach. Far casts are past the game's controller reach for now: put the white dot on the bobber and press the button, or recast. Turning on the game's Gamepad UI (Alpha) is recommended
- New key bindings in Options > Keybindings > AddOns: open the panel, open Fishing, open Trade Contacts. Every ForeverArtisan binding now starts with "ForeverArtisan:"
- Fixed: characters with the same first name no longer share skills, recipes and logs. The
/fapanel lists Cooking under "Your trades" on a character without Fishing and updates when you learn a trade. Best crafts leaves out Basic Campfire - Adds new files: restart the game fully after updating (
/reloadisn't enough)
ForeverArtisan 0.9.15 October 6
- What a craft is worth: hover a recipe in any crafting window (Make now, the plan, the recipe book) for what one craft's materials cost, what it sells for at the Auction House (Auctionator or your own visits, with how old the price is) and what vendors pay, then the profit per craft, or how much it costs you while leveling. Profit counts the Auction House's 5% cut, and uses the vendor when a vendor pays more
- Profession gear: ForeverArtisan reads the tooltips of what you wear and carry, so it knows Forever's items without a list. The Fishing tab shows your pole's bonus and line and reminds you about a better pole or a fishing line still in your bags. Herbalism, Mining and Skinning show a gear line with what you wear for the trade or something better in your bags. Cosmetic items are ignored, and it never equips anything for you
- Gathering Progress tabs: the pace line fits on one line again. Trade Contacts search: prices always show in full
- Adds a new file: restart the game fully after updating (
/reloadisn't enough)
ForeverArtisan 0.9.14 October 6
- The
/fapanel lists the professions this character knows first, with your skill, then the ones not learned yet, then Trade Contacts under Tools. Turning Trade Contacts off asks first and says what stops working - Auction House prices on item tooltips: hover a material anywhere for the cheapest buyout you've seen. It stays quiet when Auctionator is installed.
/fa prices offturns it off - Click a Train line on a shopping list for a waypoint to that trainer; away from the Auction House, click a material for a waypoint to the cheapest vendor you've met who sells it
- Waypoints always show the TomTom arrow again. For an NPC on another continent, chat says so
- "Dropped by" on material tooltips works with auto loot, counted from the "You receive loot" chat line
- Herbs you haven't picked yet say "Herb: gather it (Herbalism 1), or the Auction House" instead of "Drops from mobs"
ForeverArtisan 0.9.13 October 6
- Plans include recipes you can still train: when a trainer you've opened teaches a recipe you haven't learned, the plan uses it from the skill it needs and says "train at 40" on that step. Training goes at the top of the shopping list, with costs in the total: one "Train now" line for everything your skill already allows, then one line each in the order you'll learn them. Plans no longer stop just because your only recipe went gray
- The cheaper way up: when two recipes' skill-up chances are within 10%, the one that costs less per skill point wins
- Recipe colors you've seen now stick, so plans stop guessing yellow and green once you've opened your crafting window at that skill
- Drag the bottom-right corner of any crafting window to make it taller; the size is remembered. Long plans and shopping lists scroll with the mouse wheel
ForeverArtisan 0.9.12 October 6
- Prices in your crafting plans: every shopping list shows what each missing material costs and a total, with how old the prices are. No other addon needed: ForeverArtisan remembers the cheapest buyout on Auction House pages you look at. Auctionator's scans are used too if you have it, and a cheaper vendor from Trade Contacts wins. At the Auction House, click a shopping list item to put its name in the search box. ForeverArtisan never searches or buys for you
ForeverArtisan 0.9.11 October 6
- Fixed Mining, Herbalism and Skinning not counting ("0 nodes since your last skill-up") with auto loot. Nodes now count from the "You receive loot" line in chat.
/fa mine debugshows what the game reports while you mine, for bug reports
ForeverArtisan 0.9.10 October 5
- Job titles in town, no switch: friendly NPCs show their job under their name (like <Leatherworking Trainer>) for everyone, now part of Core so they work even with Trade Contacts off. The "Show NPC names in town" checkbox is gone. Titles and noting crafting NPCs both need the game's friendly NPC nameplates on; if they're off, the
/fapanel and the Search tab say so with a "Turn on nameplates" button./fa nameplatesturns them on. ForeverArtisan no longer changes your nameplate settings by itself - Plays nice with nameplate addons: with Plater, Threat Plates, Tidy Plates, Neat Plates, KuiNameplates, Platynator, nPlates or ElvUI nameplates running, ForeverArtisan leaves titles to them. Trade Contacts still notes the NPCs you pass.
/fa titles on | off | autolets you choose - Sturdier in combat and crowded towns: Forever hides some values from addons (unit names on some nameplates, buffs, casts and cooldowns in combat). Every part of ForeverArtisan now skips those quietly instead of showing a Lua error.
/fa versionshows how many it skipped this session - Reporting errors: the What's new note, the welcome notice and
/fa bug(or/fa feedback) end with "Seeing an error? Tell us at foreverartisan.app/bug". Type that address in your browser; it opens the bug form
ForeverArtisan 0.9.9 October 4
- Fixed a Lua error ("cannot be indexed with secret keys") from nameplates in busy towns like the Undercity. Forever hides some unit names from addons; ForeverArtisan now skips those instead of erroring
- New icons: the minimap button is the gold FA logo and Trade Contacts is a gold map pin, so they no longer look like other addons' buttons. The AddOns list uses them too
- What's new: after an update, your first login lists the headline features of each release since the one you had (up to three) in chat. New installs get the welcome notice instead.
/fa newshows it again
ForeverArtisan 0.9.8 October 3
- New module: Camping (
/fa camp). The camp item each of your professions can place and the skill for the next tier, the one-hour cooldown with a chat note when it's ready, and the Cooking campfire kits with the skill to learn and to light each. A Craft button opens the recipe. At a campfire with your cooldown ready, chat reminds you to place your camp item. It never places anything for you - Herbalism: Cultivation reminders for Tauren. Herb tooltips say when it's ready, chat reminds you when you start picking and when the hour is up, and herbs that need a higher level are remembered after a failed cast.
/fa herb cultivation offturns it off - Fishing: the "capped" message and the Progress tab name the character level the next rank needs, and "No fishing key set" waits until you equip a pole
- Trade Contacts: a map pin in another zone says which zone and switches an open world map there
- Tooltips: a small gold "FA" marks the lines ForeverArtisan adds
- Smoother play: profession windows and tooltips do far less work, so nothing should stutter. Nothing you see changes
ForeverArtisan 0.9.7 October 2
- New modules: Blacksmithing (
/fa bs), Tailoring (/fa tailor), Engineering (/fa eng) and Enchanting (/fa ench). Every one of the 12 professions now has a module - Tailoring counts bolts of cloth as crafts. Blacksmithing and Engineering point ore to your Mining log and say where bars come from. Enchanting points dust and essences to disenchanting, and works with the older Classic Enchanting window
- Recipe book, every crafting module: recipes you know first, then "Not learned yet", with Show: All / Learned / Not learned. Each one you don't know says where it comes from: a trainer or vendor you've met, a recipe you looted, or a quest that offered it. Only what you've seen; anything else shows "not found yet"
- Tools and stations: "needs Blacksmith Hammer" in Make now instead of "can make", tools first on the shopping list, and "Made at: Anvil" on recipe tooltips
- Materials you loot from mobs are remembered: "Dropped by Mangy Duskbat, Tirisfal Glades (you looted it 6 times)"
- Trade Contacts saves class trainers and the spells they teach, adds a Nearest trainer button, and gets its own minimap button (a book; a gold map pin since 0.9.9)
- "Learn from:" names the closest trainer you've met or passed, and every crafting module has an Open window button
/faunderstands "blacksmith", "enchanter", "leather" and other clear names; a module that's off says how to turn it on- New welcome notice (once per account), replacing the old beta notice.
/fa welcomebrings it back - Long lists say "N more below, scroll down", and the
/fapanel fits all 13 modules
September 2026 7 builds
ForeverArtisan 0.9.6 September 30
- Fishing: setting the reel-in key to your fishing key now shows "Space (same key)" instead of "none", so one-button fishing is clear
ForeverArtisan 0.9.5 September 29
- Trade Contacts: two checkboxes on the Search tab replace the scout and todo commands. Show NPC names in town finds crafting NPCs as you pass; Only not visited lists the ones you haven't talked to, nearest first. The slash commands still work
- The
/fapanel has the same "Show NPC names in town" checkbox, next to Vendor search. Hover either one for what it does and how many NPCs you've seen - Trade Contacts: an NPC you talked to is saved even when no shop or trainer window opens, such as a trainer who won't train you yet. They show as "visited, no list yet"
- Search: one row per trainer with the ranks they teach ("trains 16 · Apprentice"), and "seen, not visited yet" is now "seen, talk to save". With "Only not visited" ticked, a hidden match is named instead of the list saying nobody is left
- Contacts tab: grouped under town headers you can fold, with Zone and Trade pickers. Innkeepers and class or riding trainers saved by older versions only show under Everyone. A grey name replaces the "before update" tag
- Crafting plans (Alchemy, Leatherworking): materials you make first, like Light Leather or cured hides, count toward your skill-ups, and each step shows what it makes ("+ 119 Light Leather"). Between two equally good recipes, the plan picks the one that uses fewer materials
- Fix: Fishing skill, pole and swap weapons are now per character, so an alt without Fishing no longer shows your main's skill and pole
- Fix: after you unlearn a profession, its module shows it as not learned instead of your old skill
ForeverArtisan 0.9.4 September 29
- New module: Alchemy (
/fa alch). Make now, a plan to your target skill with a shopping list, craft log, recipe book, where to train next, and Alchemy lines on herb and vial tooltips. Herbs you're short on point to where your Herbalism log found them. Transmutes stay out of the plan because of their cooldowns - New module: Leatherworking (
/fa lw). The same window and plan. Cured hides count as crafts: the plan makes only the ones you don't have and lists the raw hides and Salt instead. Leather and hides point to your Skinning log - Cooking, First Aid, Alchemy, Leatherworking: until your recipes are read, every tab shows an "Open <profession> window" button. On a character without the profession, the window names the nearest trainer in your Trade Contacts who teaches Apprentice, with a Waypoint button
- Fishing: the Derby tab is now the Cast marker tab. Marker tools on top; the derby countdown, rules and catches underneath
- Trade Contacts search: one row per trainer ("trains 33"), "alchemy" finds Alchemists, NPCs you've passed show as "seen, not visited yet", and results are nearest first across your continent. Use
/fa search alchemywhen the word is also a module name - Trade Contacts no longer saves riding instructors or weapon masters
- Every list: long names and long details share the row instead of printing over each other
- Fix: First Aid said "You haven't learned First Aid" on characters without Cooking; the same check in the other modules could miss a profession the same way
- No more BETA tag on tested releases, and the login popup went with it.
/fa feedbackstill shows where to send bugs and ideas
ForeverArtisan 0.9.3 September 28
- Listed for WoW Forever only, so addon managers no longer offer it to Classic Era players. No changes in game
ForeverArtisan 0.9.2 September 28
- Download fix: the zip no longer includes a stray folder that made Wago reject the upload. No changes in game
ForeverArtisan 0.9.1 September 28
- Cooking and First Aid plans explain themselves: a red line when you're capped, and the target turns red when the plan can't reach it
- Trade Contacts reads weapon and armor vendors, and saves them only if they sell crafting goods
- Tooltips and shopping lists name the kind of vendor that sells a reagent before you've met one
ForeverArtisan 0.9.0 September 27
- One version for the whole suite. Core and every module now ship as 0.9.0, and
/fa versionwarns you if any part came from a different download - New module: Trade Contacts (
/fa contacts). Your crafting address book: vendors and trainers you talk to are saved with what they sell, prices, limited stock and location. Searchable, shown on item tooltips, shared by all your characters. Only NPCs you've actually met - New module: First Aid (
/fa aid). Make now, plans and shopping lists, craft log, recipe book, and where to train your next rank - Cooking and First Aid share one recipe engine, so fixes land in both
- Beta notice shows once per version instead of once ever
