WoW Forever cooking guide: 1-300

Cooking turns meat and fish into food that restores health and gives buffs. It's a secondary profession, and in Forever it also builds the campfires every camp item needs. Kerry's Forever beta cooks checked several trainer steps; the rest comes from Forever's game data.
What Forever changed
Forever lists 132 Cooking recipes, and 42 of them are new to Forever. Cooking matters more in Forever than it did in Classic: it makes the Basic, Journeyman and Expert Campfire Kits that hold everyone's camp items. New recipes include teas and smoothies like Peace Tea and Venomous Smoothie, plus dishes like Skywall Souffle. Many recipes come from cooking vendors rather than the trainer. The vendors in the route were seen on Kerry's Horde characters, so Alliance cooks will find the same recipes at their own side's vendors. The Cooking trainer only teaches a handful of recipes, so most of your leveling comes from these.
How to read the route
Each step is the cheapest recipe that still gives skill-ups at that range. Orange always gives a point, yellow usually does, green rarely does, gray never does. When your recipe turns green before the end of its step, move to the next one. The Colors column shows where each recipe changes.

Why level Cooking in WoW Forever?
It builds the campfires for Camping. A bigger kit holds more camp items: 3, 5, then 10.
What's the fastest way to level Cooking?
Cook what you loot while you quest, and switch when a recipe turns green.
Can I level Cooking with fishing?
Yes. Many recipes use fish, so Fishing and Cooking level well together. Most of this route is fish. If you don't fish, Raw Rockscale Cod is sold by the fish vendors in Ratchet and Booty Bay.
